THE GREEN EARTH EQUIPMENT
The Green Earth Solutions equipment for the production of the Green Bricks (Interlocking Building System) is currently in use and producing bricks for projects in the country of Brazil. Experiments and projects utilizing this technology has also been done in Bolivia.
Several community housing projects have already been developed utilizing the concept of the Interlocking Green Bricks system for the building of popular housing and public buildings as well. Examples of such projects include:
1. Highlands of Bolivia
232 houses were built in an inhospitable area in the rocky mountains, where no houses had ever been built before and people lived in huts made of rocks. The project was subsidized by the local government and the production of the Green Bricks, as well as the construction itself, was done by the local community people under supervision, after initial training.
2. Itaquerai - Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil
133 houses were built for low-income families. Funding for the project came from the local government, who paid for the equipment and materials necessary. Instead of hiring outside labor, the families that received the houses were trained and worked on the construction of their own homes, each receiving a small subsidy from the government.
